About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Seabeach Gardens, a boutique retirement village located near Mona Vale Beach. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and daily living assistance to residents, including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and house cleaning.
  • Support residents with community-based recreational and social activities, transportation, and assistance with shopping and appointments.
  • Communicate with the Village Manager and Care Partner regarding any concerns or deterioration of a resident, including reporting of incidents.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support.
  • At least 6 months of experience working as a Personal Care Worker.
  • Experience working with older people who have chronic health conditions, including dementia.
  • Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and positive attitude to evolving work environments to suit resident needs.
  • Good people skills and empathy for older people living in care and retirement village settings.
  • Flexibility with working hours.
  • Physical fitness, as the position can be physically demanding with assisting residents to move around their homes.
  • Ability to attend shifts in Mona Vale.
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia.
