Key Responsibilities:- Mentor a high-performing team that drives government decision-making.
- Provide policy advice to ensure seamless information exchange between the Minister's Office and the department.
- Respond to complex inquiries, research, analyze, and evaluate policy requirements.
- Support the Minister's office during parliamentary sitting weeks and budget processes.
This role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, excellent communication skills, political acumen, discretion in handling sensitive information, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership.
Requirements:- Extensive knowledge of the NSW government machinery and Cabinet & Parliament roles.
- Familiarity with department functions and objectives.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Political acumen and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate emerging policy challenges.
- Confidence and composure in high-stakes situations.
