Job Title:

Medical Research Officer

Role Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical Research Officer, working in a veteran-focused government department. You will be part of the Mental Health and Research Translation team, supporting and making a positive impact in the veteran community.

As a Medical Research Officer, you will provide summaries, briefing packs, Ministerial responses, and communication strategies. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to produce high-quality, accurate, and rapid responses for high-profile, short-turnaround tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide summaries, briefing packs, and Ministerial responses
  • Develop and maintain positive stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to conduct meetings online and in person
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Security clearance NV1
  • Good understanding of record management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working within a government setting
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to engage positively with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage external contractors
  • Ability to work respectfully with a blended workforce
  • Develop and maintain positive, robust stakeholder communication skills
