A career-defining position has emerged for a dedicated Social Worker to join our Inpatient Social Work team.

The role encompasses working within the Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services (RACS) department, supporting qualified professionals in their transition into healthcare settings through provision of guidance from our Clinical Lead Social Worker, regular clinical supervision, and access to professional development programs.

You will also have the opportunity to rotate between different work areas and develop your own supervision skills by guiding Junior Social Workers and Students.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years' experience working professionally in hospital or healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive social work services to patients, families, and carers aligned with Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop tailored care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and carers.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and implement interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to achieve optimal patient results.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working professionally in hospital or healthcare settings.
  • Significant experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly regarded.
  • Completion of a National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 clearance.
