This position involves leading a centre of excellence in chemistry and drug discovery, focusing on strategic research leadership, collaborations with government and industry, and driving partnerships for commercialization of research.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of academic leadership, demonstrated by outstanding individual output and impressive support of their team members. They will also possess at least 15 years of expert knowledge and research outcomes in the field of chemistry and drug discovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Research Leadership: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of researchers in the development and implementation of innovative research strategies.
- Collaborations: The candidate will establish and maintain collaborations with UQ, government, and industry partners to drive research outcomes and commercialization opportunities.
- Driving Partnerships: The successful candidate will identify and develop strategic partnerships to facilitate the translation of research into real-world applications.
The successful candidate will require a minimum of 15 years of expert knowledge and research outcomes in the field of chemistry and drug discovery. They must also demonstrate strong individual output and impressive support of their team members.
