About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional academic leader in the domain of chemistry and drug discovery to lead our centre.

The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of academic leadership, demonstrated by individual output and impressive support of those around them.

They will be natural, collaborative, and skilled at influencing, driving partnerships across institutions while working with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the centre consisting of 10 group leaders, 40 staff, and approximately 50 HDR students.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive partnerships across institutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Commercialize research outputs through successful grants applications and revenue generation.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and excellence within the centre.

Requirements:

  • PhD in chemistry or related field.
  • At least 15 years of expert knowledge and research outcomes in chemistry.
  • Track record of commercializing research outputs.
  • Experience in academic leadership and partnership development.
