Housing infrastructure specialists are invited to apply for a critical governance role that will drive financial sustainability and enterprise risk frameworks across Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to join a growing, purpose-driven movement that reframes housing as essential economic infrastructure. By contributing your expertise, you will help deliver practical outcomes and lasting reform in the national housing sector.

The selected candidate will work closely with senior leaders from various sectors to build a robust governance model at the forefront of national housing reform.

About the Role
  • This is a voluntary, pro bono Board Subcommittee governance appointment with a minimum term of two years commencing November 2025.
  • The successful candidate will be part of a hybrid or remote team.
Key Responsibilities
  • To establish fit-for-purpose risk appetite and reporting cadence.
  • To align the budget and cash-flow model with growth scenarios.
  • To agree and implement an assurance schedule (internal and external).
  • To map funding controls clearly to program outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven expertise in finance, audit, risk, and governance.
  • Board or senior committee experience with a commercial lens applied to for-purpose objectives.
  • Influence and networks across corporate, professional, and community sectors.
