Housing Opportunities SpecialistJob Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Housing Opportunities Specialist. This role will play a critical part in addressing the pressing issue of affordable housing in Australian communities.

In this position, you will work closely with local governments to understand the complexities of housing challenges and opportunities in their areas. Your expertise will inform their policies and strategies, ensuring that they make informed decisions about housing needs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of demographic, economic, and social research data, as well as experience in using tools and consulting services to support decision-making. You will be an authority in the Australian housing space, able to analyze complex data and provide recommendations for positive housing outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, promote, sell, and deliver housing solutions to local governments across Australia.
  • Play a key role in the ongoing development of housing.id, a cutting-edge tool designed to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Support and champion the use of housing.id with clients, including training and ad-hoc support.
  • Collaborate with lead consultants to identify new opportunities in demographic and housing consulting pieces.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of housing policy and strategy in Australian contexts.
  • Expertise in demographic, economic, and social research data analysis.
  • Experience working with local governments, councils, or similar organizations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
