We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Impact Assessment & Permitting Team in Perth. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellence in client-service on projects across various markets, including Power, Mining, Transport, and Defence.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with industry specialists to undertake and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approvals on high-profile, challenging projects.
- Collaborate with Management Teams to ensure environmental matters are appropriately considered and managed at all stages of design development and project construction.
- Project manage, develop bids, and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects.
- Provide technical leadership and confidence in managing multidisciplinary technical teams to identify risks, solve problems, communicate change through planning, design, and approval processes.
- Support the continued growth of our business and foster the development of environmental planning and approvals across the region.
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science.
- Strong environmental impact assessment experience, approvals, or planning approvals across a number of market sectors and a good industry reputation.
- Demonstrated experience working on major projects.
- Solid project management/coordination skills, and commercial acumen to effectively manage resources, timelines, quality, and budgets.
- Emotional intelligence to develop and maintain positive peer and client relationships.
- Strong team player, influencer, and collaborator.
- Good communicator with proven technical knowledge and a strong client focus.
