Principal Environmental Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Environmental Scientist to lead our contaminated land projects in Western Australia.
As a key member of our Site Assessment and Remediation Group, you will work closely with our team of experts to deliver a wide range of site investigation projects across various sectors, including Defence, infrastructure, mining, and resources.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and direction for the delivery of large contaminated land projects
- Coaching and developing junior staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge
- Building and maintaining key client relationships and identifying new growth opportunities
- Managing and preparing technical content for reports, proposals, and correspondence
- Engaging with Western Australian government departments and regulators
- Collaborating with contaminated land project managers and specialists across Australia for technical input on major projects
We welcome candidates with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology
- At least 10 years of experience delivering contaminated land projects, preferably in Western Australia
- Exceptional communication, report writing, and project management skills
- The ability to coach and provide technical guidance for junior staff
- Significant experience in ensuring projects are delivered safely and without risks to health or environment
- A well-developed understanding of Western Australian legislation and standards for contaminated land
