AECOM's Environment Business in Perth has an exciting opportunity for an environmental professional to join our high performing Impact Assessment & Permitting (IAP) Team. You will take a key role in delivering excellence in client-service on projects from a range of markets including Power (renewables and grid modernisation), Mining, Transport, and Defence.

Our IAP Technical Practice covers a range of service offerings within the Environment Business Line including undertaking environmental constraints analysis, environmental impact assessment, obtaining environmental approvals, environmental management, auditing, and environmental compliance.

We are looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist who can work collaboratively to prepare and manage high-quality environmental impact assessments. You will be confident in translating technical information into accessible language in your written work and other communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with industry specialists to undertake and coordinate environmental impact assessments and approvals on high-profile, challenging projects.
  • Project manage, develop bids and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders on a range of projects.
  • Proven technical leadership and confidence managing multidisciplinary technical teams to identify risks, solve problems, communicate change through planning, design and approval processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science.
  • Strong environmental impact assessment experience, approvals or planning approvals across a number of market sectors and a good industry reputation.
  • Demonstrated experience working on major projects.
  • Solid project management/coordination skills, and commercial acumen to effectively manage resources, timelines, quality and budgets.
