About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our Global Credit Risk Team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing risk to banks, other financial institutions, and fund clients in various Macquarie businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a global portfolio of counterparties, measuring and managing counterparty risk, and evaluating market trends and news events that may impact credit quality.
  • Analyse and determine credit risk for the purpose of assigning credit limits and ratings, reviewing and analysing trading counterparties and transactions to ensure they meet appropriate return hurdles and determine risk appetite.
Requirements
  • Experience in a comparable role within banking and financial services or professional services, ideally in financial markets.
  • Ability to understand risk and interpret financial statements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of trading documentation, derivative products, and capital markets is highly regarded.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.
