About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our client's team in Appin. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control algorithms to achieve optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control algorithms to optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate control systems into the overall product architecture
  • Conduct simulations, modeling, and testing to validate and optimize control system designs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose control system issues, providing timely solutions to maintain product functionality
  • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing to enhance team collaboration and innovation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement in control system design and implementation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field, as well as proven experience with industry-leading products such as Schneider, Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, or similar control systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with industry-leading control systems
  • Proficiency in control theory, system modeling, and simulation tools
  • Proficiency in PLC & SCADA systems, control theory, system modeling, and simulation tools
  • A track record of maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing complex control systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
