Job Title: Multi-Skilled Plant Operator

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and versatile individual who can operate various types of plant equipment including road trains and water trucks. They will work on road construction and maintenance projects as well as miscellaneous works within the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform road maintenance road construction structures concrete and miscellaneous operations;
  • Ensure plant operation is consistent with manufacturer's specifications and ensure the work is undertaken in the most effective manner;
  • Undertake maintenance in accordance with daily plant check sheets;
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained appropriately and any defects are recorded and promptly notified to the relevant team;
  • Ensure correct and adequate roadworks signage is installed and maintained;
  • Ensure timesheets plant sheets and plant check sheets are accurately completed on a daily basis;
  • Contribute to camps being maintained in a safe clean and proper manner;
  • Participate as a member of the workforce and undertake other duties as required by operational activities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work duties are primarily performed in an outdoors environment and regularly exposed to changing weather conditions;
  • The position requires the capability to work outdoors particularly in hot and humid local climates;
  • The position also requires physical capability to perform manual laboring tasks that require the full range of human movement;
  • The incumbent will be required to contribute to camps being maintained in a safe clean and proper manner.

  • In addition to key duties and responsibilities the position incumbent is responsible and accountable for adhering to all policies procedures legislative requirements and supporting the overall Corporate Plan and objectives;
