Job Description:We seek an experienced Mobile Hydraulic Hose Specialist to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hydraulic hose systems, fabricating hoses on-site, and delivering timely and professional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- On-Site Hydraulic Hose Repair and Replacement: Travel to client locations to assess, diagnose, and repair or replace damaged hydraulic hoses on heavy machinery such as backhoes, forklifts, excavators, and more.
- Hose Fabrication: Use mobile tools and equipment to cut, crimp, and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings on-site based on the specific needs of the machinery.
- Troubleshooting: Identify hydraulic hose issues quickly and accurately, recommend appropriate solutions, and complete repairs efficiently.
- System Testing: After replacement, perform pressure testing to ensure the integrity of the hydraulic system and prevent future breakdowns.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, explaining repairs, and providing preventative maintenance recommendations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used, labor time, and any additional maintenance recommendations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Advise customers on best practices for extending the life of their hydraulic hoses and minimizing future breakdowns.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for both the technician and the customer.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, or a related field is required. Experience with heavy equipment and hydraulic hose systems is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems and operate mobile hose crimping equipment is necessary.
- Certification: Relevant technical certifications in hydraulic systems or heavy equipment repair are preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, both in person and over the phone, is essential.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing hydraulic issues and providing effective repairs are required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts, work in various weather conditions, and stand for long periods of time.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, as this role involves significant travel to client sites.
