Job Summary

This role is the end-to-end business partner for the demand and supply chain. The Demand and Supply Planner will be responsible for liaising with customers, developing base forecasts, and providing forecast driver details.

The role involves managing and maintaining the supply plan, placing orders with suppliers, and maintaining agreed inventory levels. Additionally, the Demand and Supply Planner will maintain all planning master data to enable accurate planning and exception reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly supply updates on back orders and products on short supply
  • Prepare and present data for required meetings in the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) cycle
  • Develop, maintain, and present a rolling 18-month product statistical based forecast
  • Proactively seek information and perform analyses that lead to better, more accurate mid-to-long term forecasts
  • Provide specialised historical and forecast information to various departments
  • Raise orders and maintain due dates based on supplier manufacturing plans
  • Prepare exceptions, updates, and documents for monthly SOP meetings

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting or a related field
  • A minimum of three years' experience in demand and/or supply planning
  • Demonstrated success in a position requiring detailed analytical activity
  • Working knowledge of the FMCG/grocery sector, familiarity with manufacturing, production scheduling, and logistics processes
  • Experience in S&OP processes and preparing reports and dashboards
  • Excellent ability to obtain and analyse data, work independently, and meet deadlines
