About the Role

The Cyber Security team is responsible for leading the delivery of the DCS Cyber Security Strategy, focusing on reducing cyber attack likelihood and consequences by fortifying defences, safeguarding sensitive data, and protecting government services.

We are seeking a skilled Principal Business Analyst to join the Cyber Security Team. This role will support multiple project teams by leading technical process analysis of complex cyber security processes.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering technical requirements and conducting analysis to develop process maps, technical designs, and business process models
  • Providing advice on process feasibility and suitability to optimize cyber security operations and risk management compliance
  • Stakeholder and relationship management across multiple agencies and teams to identify cyber security requirements, develop user or solution stories, and case scenarios
  • Facilitating workshops to research and understand cyber security challenges and issues, including privacy and information security
  • Identifying and documenting cyber security processes, roles, and responsibilities to define cyber security requirements
  • Tracking and driving cyber security process improvements to deliver desired outcomes
  • Providing accurate reporting on cyber security processes for senior stakeholders
About You
  • Experience in consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders, gathering and analyzing technical requirements within agreed timeframes
  • Proven experience in developing process maps, technical designs, and business process models
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary project teams and across multiple projects
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting using Excel, Power BI, Python programming for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Proven experience in MySQL query development
  • Experience in AI Prompt Engineering to drive productivity
  • Deep technical knowledge of networks, operating systems (especially Linux), and application platforms
  • Solid foundation in enterprise strategies and accounting principles
