Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the water and sewer construction section, ensuring the delivery of capital projects and daily operations, maintenance, and repairs of water and sewer assets.
- Provide operational maintenance and repair services for water and sewer infrastructure across the region, supporting other Utilities needs.
- Contribute to the development, update, and maintenance of the Water and Sewer Management Plans, ensuring alignment with Council's adopted processes.
- Manage people and their performance to realize their individual and group potential to an optimal level.
- Manage financial targets for the group, contributing to financial objectives for the Division, which inform strategic decision-making, financial sustainability, and goal setting.
- Ensure the after-hours and on-call services are well managed, with participation in the on-call roster required.
- A Degree in Civil and/or Construction Engineering with relevant experience to the position.
- Proven skills and experience in the utilities sector managing water and/or sewer reticulation networks operations, maintenance, repairs, and capital project delivery, or significant experience deemed relevant related to fulfilling this role.
- Extensive project management expertise.
- Proven experience in a leadership role with the ability to manage, coach, and develop teams and influence others' thinking and actions to bring about desired results.
- Proven experience at managing operational teams and performance delivery to achieve KPIs, budget, and operational plan outcomes.
- Thorough knowledge of WHS legislation with experience of managing safety and developing a positive safety culture.
- Ability to participate in after-hours on-call roster on a regular basis.
