About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing/Procurement Project Manager to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our Global Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for driving purchasing activities in various cross-functional projects, including product, operational, and special taskforce projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and drive project activities from start to end, ensuring purchasing targets are met in alignment with Volvo's processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and act as the Purchasing 'voice' in the project, working closely with the Purchasing organization and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to drive QDCF-TSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk) in projects.
  • Organize supplier involvement in project activities and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
About the Team

You will be part of the Automotive Purchasing team, reporting to the Head of Group Trucks Purchasing. Our team is agile, diverse, and passionate about delivering the best possible products and services to our customers. We focus on quality, delivery, cost, features, technology, sustainability, and risk management (QDCFTSR) and strive to develop strong relationships with our suppliers.

Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Buyer, with a desire to transition into project management.
  • Strong business acumen and a passion for manufacturing and understanding how things work together.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proactive, accountable attitude, with a target-oriented approach.
