Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team at Bechtel. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and preparation of project master purchasing commercial pro-forma forms, including legal and commercial terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review prime contract requirements to develop and prepare project master purchases pro-forma forms, including legal and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor project bidder's lists, ensuring input from all procurement functions and operational groups.
  • Review international project commercial conditions of purchasing to ensure purchasing pro-forma terms, conditions, and procedures are compatible with applicable Bechtel Directives, Instructions, and Procurement Procedures.
  • Form, issue, and administer purchase orders.
  • Direct negotiations in the commitment of purchases, following review and approval of the proposed negotiating plan by the designated supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience in project procurement management, including purchasing and expediting.
  • Extensive experience in purchasing a wide range of engineered equipment and materials.
  • Experience working with suppliers nationally and offshore.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.
  • Highly skilled in negotiating terms and conditions.
