Children's Assistant Soccer Coach

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Children’s Assistant Soccer Coach to join our team in the Penrith area.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that involves coaching soccer for children aged 2 to 12 years old. You will assist in running the coaching sessions, participate in games, communicate with coaches, children, parents, and carers, complete routine administrative tasks, and transport and store equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coaching soccer for children aged 2 to 12 years old
  • Assisting in running the coaching sessions and participating in games
  • Communicating with coaches, children, parents, and carers
  • Completing routine administrative tasks such as health and safety checks and registers
  • Transporting and storing equipment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be confident, outgoing, enthusiastic, and great with children. You must also have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one. Excellent verbal communication skills are essential, and you must be 100% reliable, organised, and calm under pressure. Availability to work weekend mornings and commitment to at least a term are also required. Having reliable transportation is necessary, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Previous experience coaching or working with children is preferred but not essential, and training will be given. Opportunities for assistant coaches to progress to head coach and take their own classes are available.
