Role Summary:

This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of child protection services to young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including courts, legal representatives, police, and community organizations.

To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You must also have a 'C' class driver's license to perform frequent intrastate travel.

You will be required to collect and organize relevant child protection information, attend court, and provide authoritative advice on child safety interventions and available services. This may involve participating in case-specific stakeholder meetings and/or providing direct casework services as negotiated with the young person's child safety officer.

In addition to your professional qualifications and experience, you will need to demonstrate capability in areas detailed within the Role Profile.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Child Protection Services: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of child protection services.
  • Court Attendance: Attend court to share information about child safety interventions and provide authoritative advice on available services.
  • Casework: Participate in case-specific stakeholder meetings and/or provide direct casework services as negotiated with the young person's child safety officer.
Requirements:
  • Driver's License: Possess a 'C' class driver's license to perform frequent intrastate travel.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional Qualifications: Demonstrate capability in areas detailed within the Role Profile.
