Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Cafe Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing daily store operations, including store cleanliness and presentation.

They will also be responsible for planning and executing marketing promotions, leading by example to drive team members to deliver exceptional guest service, and managing people-related tasks such as recruitment, training and development, coaching, feedback and performance management.

The successful candidate will be able to build morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team member input is encouraged and valued.

Key responsibilities will include managing labour spend, stock levels and other controllable expenses, and ensuring that all Max Brenner golden standards are upheld at all times.

They will also be required to manage, prepare and serve dessert menu items and drinks to the highest standard, and complete in-house training to keep them up-to-date with the latest skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous management experience of minimum 2 years
  • Previous hospitality or retail experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and effectively communicate with a team
  • Energetic, positive and guest-focused attitude
  • Passion for hospitality and love of the energy it brings
  • Ability to work well collaboratively as part of a team
