Medical Collections Specialist

The role of a Medical Collections Specialist involves providing quality patient care while collecting medical samples in a hospital setting. This is a front-line position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless sample collection
  • Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients across various wards and areas
  • Maintain accurate records for each patient and sample
Requirements:
  • Phlebotomy experience or equivalent qualification (Certificate III in Pathology Collection or nursing background)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with children and obtain Working with Children's Check
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency, NZ citizenship, or valid visa with work permission
