Your primary focus will be on ensuring the stability and performance of our systems, including coordination with network administrators. You will be responsible for setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
Your Responsibilities- Provide high-level systems administration support to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems.
- Evaluate vendor products and make recommendations for hardware and software purchases.
- Coordinate the installation of new systems and provide backup recovery services.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for the allocation of computing resources.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant experience in delivering high-level systems administration support. You will also need to have a complete understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field, as well as a general knowledge of other related disciplines.
You will be working with a range of technologies within a professional ICT environment, including Linux, UNIX, and Windows. A degree in Information Technology would be advantageous, but not essential.
