Job Summary

The Lockheed Martin Australia team is seeking a highly skilled Sysadmin to maintain the smooth operation of our multi-user computer systems. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for coordinating with network administrators, setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a strong understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of systems administration. You will work closely with our team to develop and monitor policies and standards for the allocation of computing resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain administrator and service accounts
  • Maintain system documentation and tune system performance
  • Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software
  • Coordinate installation and provide backup recovery

Requirements

  • Significant experience in delivering high-level systems administration support
  • Complete understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field
  • Significant knowledge and experience within technologies and domains including Linux, UNIX, and Windows
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
