About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Lockheed Martin Space. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our multi-user computer systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, and tune system performance.
  • Install system-wide software and allocate mass storage space.
  • Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
  • Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

About You

  • You have significant experience in delivering high-level systems administration support.
  • You possess a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
  • You have significant knowledge and experience within technologies and domains, including Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
  • You are skilled in troubleshooting communications networks, deploying new hardware, and understanding heating and cooling paradigms in computing environments.
  • You have a strong conceptual and analytical skillset with a strong attention to detail.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
