Our organization is seeking an experienced Horse Trainer to lead and manage a team of trainers and support staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of horse training and handling methods specific to Thoroughbred Racing.
The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and implement effective training programs for young horses, utilizing knowledge of horse behavior and psychology to achieve optimal results.
The selected individual will be responsible for leading and managing a team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, they will maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, including owners, breeders, and other industry professionals.
The successful candidate will also ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, including the safe operation of equipment and use of personal protective equipment.
This is a full-time and ongoing position that requires a professional with minimum 2-3 years of full-time experience in a similar role, or 2 years of full-time experience and a relevant qualification. Experience in track work, including riding timed gallops, is also essential. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the capacity to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
