The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Analyst to join our team at our Kensington laboratory. As a Laboratory Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing, as well as conducting a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing microbiological media and standards
  • Performing basic testing and sample preparation, utilizing aseptic technique
  • Assisting with writing and reviewing documentation, such as laboratory methods and standard operating procedures
  • Coordinating with internal clients
  • Performing basic calibrations

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Experience in instrumental techniques is essential
  • Experience in labware/LIMS is desirable
  • Understanding of the principles of tests conducted
  • The ability to be an effective trainer
  • Laboratory experience, preferably in food testing
