The Role:

This position involves conducting routine sample preparation and food testing, as well as performing a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data and reporting results, as well as assisting with writing and reviewing documentation such as laboratory methods and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing microbiological media and standards
  • Performing basic testing and sample preparation, utilizing aseptic technique
  • Assisting with writing and reviewing documentation
  • Coordinating with internal clients
  • Performing basic calibrations

Requirements:

  • Experience in instrumental techniques is essential
  • Experience in labware/LIMS is desirable
  • Understanding of the principles of tests conducted
  • Ability to be an effective trainer
  • Laboratory experience preferably in food testing
