Are you a healthcare professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role in sterilisation? This Sterilisation Technician position offers the opportunity to work in a dedicated team providing thermally disinfected and sterile reusable medical devices to all areas of the hospital.

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain high standards in all processes involved with sterilisation and other procedures performed within the unit, while acknowledging the service contribution to patient care. To achieve this, you will be responsible for the reprocessing of reusable Medical Devices (RMDs) used in Health Services Organisations (HSOs), adhering to AS/NZS 4187:2014.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can develop your skills and knowledge in sterilisation technology. As a Sterilisation Technician, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with a team of like-minded individuals who share a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Completion of an accredited Certificate in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE or willingness to undertake the certificate
  • Experience in a sterilising department environment
  • Ability to function harmoniously within a team environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Workplace Health & Safety and principles of Infection Control
