A multi-sector business unit, we are focused on providing technical consulting during the planning, design, building, operation, and optimisation of assets, facilities, and infrastructure across a range of end markets including energy, industrial, power, and mining.

The successful candidate will have a Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in an engineering discipline, including chemical engineering, flow assurance, mechanical engineering. Chartership, Professional Engineer (PE) status or equivalent relevant professional license/registration from a recognised national or industry engineering institution is desirable.

To be successful in this role, the following skills and experience will be required:

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, tenacity, and have excellent communication skills
  • Significant experience (typically > 10 years) in design and/or operation of subsea or onshore pipeline systems and fully familiar with different elements of the CCS value chain from process to pore
  • Fully familiar with challenges associated with transport of multiphase, hydrocarbon, and CO2-rich fluids, including fluid mechanics, phase equilibria, and thermodynamics, thermophysical properties of such fluids, chemical interactions, key flow assurance risks, and integrity risks
  • Fully familiar with existing fluid modelling tools/ thermodynamic engines . Multiflash or PVTSim (preferably the former) flow assurance modelling tools (OLGA, PIPESIM, LedaFlow, etc)
  • Strong technical writing skills, specifically for issuing project reports to clients and or external parties
  • Ability to assist with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
