**Environmental Performance Specialist**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental professional to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and meeting the objectives outlined in the Sustainability Management Plan (SuMP) and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Job Description:

• Develop and manage the project's Sustainability Management Plan, ensuring that the project team understands the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) requirements related to their areas of work and successfully delivers the rating.
• Create standards for regular reporting on key environmental performance objectives, non-conformances, and standards for managing project environmental risks, including tracking metrics against the ISC tool;
• Collaborate with sustainability design consultants and collect ISC-compliant information;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legal, regulatory, and company environmental requirements, ensuring management and staff are informed of any changes to project requirements;
• Foster a culture that encourages environmental innovation through the organization;
• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance environmental outcomes during construction and operation;
• Work closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to embed sustainability into project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline;
- ISAP/GSAP registration;
- 5-8 years' experience in a similar Environmental role, preferably in large infrastructure projects, particularly roads, rail, or tunnels;
- Understanding of environmental rating schemes and standards;
- Knowledge of tender requirements, project planning, development, implementation, and review;
- Ability to lead high-level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties.
