Frankston Hospital Cleaner Role

We are seeking an experienced cleaner to join our team at Frankston Hospital. As a cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high hygiene standards in patient rooms, theatres, offices, restrooms, and public areas.
Key Responsibilities- Deep clean high-risk areas and handle biohazardous waste safely
- Strip/make beds, clean rooms post-discharge, and manage soiled linen and laundry tasks
- Safely segregate and dispose of general and hazardous waste
You will also be required to operate, maintain, and check cleaning equipment, report faults or hazards, and follow all OH&S and hospital safety protocols using personal protective equipment as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Previous experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices
- Understanding of infection prevention and control procedures
In addition, you will need to possess customer service skills with attention to detail, be self-directed and able to work as part of a team, and have the capacity to resolve conflicts and negotiate with others.
