Interview Day – Wednesday 27th August – Time and place to be confirmed.

For those eligible for the Employability Skills Funded Training (EST):

  • Post successful interview and provisional job offer EST activity ID will be shared for referrals via the Workforce Australia System
  • Course dates are expected to be from 13 Oct to 30 Oct – 4 days per week running at the Asuria Frankston Office
  • Police checks and a WWC, COVID and Flu evidence if needed will be facilitated through the EST program
  • PPE/Uniform support will also be requested as needed throughout the EST program

Frankston Cleaning roles pre-course interview day. Please upload suitable candidates applications via this campaign if they are eligible and are able to commit to the EST program and above dates.

Only those successful at interview stage will move forward with the EST program and on successful completion will be offered a role with Compass Group once the new contract is live which at this stage is December.

Role Responsibilities

  • Clean patient rooms, theatres, offices, restrooms, and public areas to maintain high hygiene standards
  • Use approved disinfectants, sanitise high-touch surfaces, and follow infection control protocols
  • Perform deep cleans in high-risk areas and handle biohazardous waste safely
  • Strip/make beds (ED), clean rooms post-discharge, and manage soiled linen and laundry tasks
  • Operate, maintain, and check cleaning equipment and report faults or hazards
  • Safely segregate and dispose of general and hazardous waste
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies; maintain accurate inventory records
  • Follow all OH&S and hospital safety protocols, using PPE as required
  • Collaborate with staff, attend training, and assist with onboarding of new cleaners
  • Maintain professional conduct and support continuous improvement in cleaning standards

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning is preferred
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices
  • Understanding of infection prevention and control procedures
  • Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (employee version), or willingness to obtain.
  • Updated Covid and Flu vaccinations and serology report

Competency Requirements

  • Customer service orientated and attention to detail
  • Self-directed and working as part of a team
  • Capacity to resolve conflicts and negotiate with others
  • Follow instructions and take direction
  • Understand and follow hospital infection control protocols and adhere to workplace safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly.
