Job Title

Structural Engineer Opportunity

A structural engineer position has become available in a global engineering consultancy specialising in buildings and infrastructure projects. This role involves undertaking analysis and design of structural systems across building projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake analysis and design of structural systems across building projects.
  • Prepare technical documentation including calculations, design reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept to construction.
  • Assist with site inspections, structural assessments, and reporting.
  • Support senior engineers and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong background in buildings, including commercial, medium/high-rise, retail, and health projects.
  • Proficient in structural design software (e.g., SpaceGASS, RAM, RAPT, ETABS, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of Australian Standards and industry guidelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a collaborative approach.
  • Progressing towards Chartered status (CPEng) is highly desirable.
