About the Role

As a valued team member, you will play a significant role in ensuring the safety and security of the public and the judicial system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to individuals entering the court
  • Conducting x-ray screening, using metal detectors, and searching individuals for prohibited items
  • Roving security patrols within and external to the building
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Acting as a first responder to any incidents that may occur
  • Managing access and control rooms

What We Offer

We offer full-time and casual employment opportunities, daytime hours of operation, onsite paid training, and a supportive team of colleagues and leaders. Our attractive Level 4 Pay rate of $27.88 per hour plus super as per the award is a competitive offering.

Requirements

  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Certificate II or III in Security Operations
  • Current Tasmanian Security Licence
  • Current First Aid Accreditation
  • Current CPR accreditation
  • Monitoring room operator experience will be regarded
  • Desirable to have batons and handcuffs accreditation
