Wool Operations Specialist

The key to success in this role lies in coordinating and managing the day-to-day logistics and operations for Elders Wool Handling.

  • Ensure growers' bales are received, cored, and prepared for sale while adhering to instructions and agreed KPIs.
  • Oversee store staff in receivals, marshalling, coring, shipping, rehandling, and show floor.

To excel in this position, you will require an understanding of the wool industry, wool logistics, and agricultural industry, as well as demonstrated experience managing teams and a production site. A proven track record in wool handling is essential.

A strong problem-solving and planning skillset, combined with excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, are required for this role. Sound computer skills are also necessary.

This role plays a pivotal part in Elders' new wool handling and is responsible for the logistics of receiving, coring, and marketing our client's wool in a professional manner to ensure deadlines are met and stakeholders' expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
