About the Role
We're seeking an experienced project professional to join our team as a Project Services Lead. In this 12-month fixed-term position, you'll drive best-practice project execution across a diverse and evolving portfolio.
You'll oversee the full lifecycle of project services, managing cost, schedule, risk, quality, and change control while ensuring seamless reporting and documentation.
This is an opportunity to lead the transformation of our project systems to support cutting-edge energy developments, including battery energy storage and pumped hydro.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading cost engineering and estimating activities to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with project structures.
- Maintaining financial data integrity within control systems.
- Coordinating and delivering cost and schedule reports in line with defined reporting cycles and governance standards.
- Providing expert advice on cost control and schedule management to support project delivery.
- Establishing and maintaining robust schedule and risk management functions across the project lifecycle.
- Supporting earned value analysis and ensuring adherence to project governance procedures.
- Identifying and assessing risks, ambiguities, and issues in project documentation to inform execution strategies.
- Overseeing implementation of audit recommendations, corrective actions, and continuous improvements.
- Managing project documentation systems and ensuring quality standards are upheld.
- Collaborating effectively across multicultural, multi-stakeholder environments, aligning diverse practices with our Project Delivery Model.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An undergraduate degree in Business (Finance or Accounting), Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
- At least 10 years' experience in a maintenance/construction/cost control role.
- Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Services environment.
- A strong understanding of cost/schedule management methodologies and techniques.
- Proficiency in using cost (e.g., advanced Excel) and schedule management (e.g., Primavera) software.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with a strong ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
- Highly developed organisational, analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with earned value analysis and cost/progress S-curves.
