Job Summary: Wood Plc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Perth, Australia. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design and development of structural engineering solutions for our Oil and Gas clients.

About the Role: This is a long-term opportunity to work with a leading Oil and Gas company, delivering brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, optimization, and technical services to the sector. You will be part of a dynamic team that enjoys long-term partnerships with prominent producers in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in structural engineering for Oil and Gas projects
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure compliance with relevant design codes and regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience as a Structural Engineer in Oil and Gas
  • Experience in Offshore site environment and site surveying/scoping
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Experience in the use of relevant software packages (e.g. SACS, StaadPro)
  • Experience in the use of API, AISC, and ISO design codes
