As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with parking regulations within our community. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts effectively will be essential in this position.

This role requires a high level of customer focus, as you will interact with members of the public on a regular basis. You must be able to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism.

You will work closely with our team to achieve business objectives, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be critical in identifying and addressing any non-compliance issues related to parking.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also require excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce parking regulations and issue warnings or penalty infringement notices as necessary
  • Collaborate with Roads and Maritime Services to obtain vehicle owner information when required
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative culture within the organisation by demonstrating open, fair and transparent decision making and professional behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with the team, manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals and Council priorities
Requirements
  • A minimum school certificate or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • A current Driver's Licence Class C
