Urban Bitumen Maintenance Technician

The role involves the maintenance of urban bitumen patching and operating Council's Flow Con safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain the Tar Truck with daily checks, safety checks, oil and coolant checks, securing loads and equipment.
  • Transport loose materials, prepare for loading, and dispatch coldmix/hotmix material.
  • Operate Flow Con in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and recommendations.
  • Set up Traffic Procedures by correctly implementing Traffic Control Plans on worksites.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • MR Truck Licence
  • WHS General Induction for Construction Certificate (Whitecard)
  • Traffic Control Stop/Slow (Blue Card)
  • Commitment to undertaking additional training
  • Demonstrated experience in Truck Driving
  • Adherence to Work Health and Safety practices
  • Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity

Prior experience in operating bitumen patching units or Traffic Control is highly desirable.
