Job Title: Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a vital role in supporting our accountants and partners across a broad range of client work.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, communicating with clients regarding documentation and queries, and staying up-to-date with relevant tax legislation and compliance changes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
  • Communicate with clients regarding documentation and queries.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant tax legislation and compliance changes.
  • Provide support to senior accountants and partners as needed.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (completed or near completion).
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a close-knit team.
