About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled Survey Technician to contribute to our extensive civil and road construction initiatives. This position is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our projects.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager and will be required to operate in challenging environments, often in remote locations characterized by hot and dry conditions.

Key Duties

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Interpreting project plans and executing site layout;
  • Adapting designs for implementation on survey equipment and machine control systems;
  • Collaborating with machine control teams to enhance project precision and timelines;
  • Conducting regular surveys to ensure compliance with project specifications;
  • Performing as-built surveys for project validation and quantity assessment;
  • Delivering accurate survey data for monthly reporting;
  • Generating detailed and clear technical documentation;
  • Collecting and analyzing survey data as necessary;
  • Assisting with project administration tasks as needed.
Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized qualification in Surveying, such as a Certificate IV or higher;
  • Experience in a comparable role within the Civil or Mining sectors;
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools, including AutoCad 3D Civil and Surpac;
  • Proficiency with GPS technology, Trimble Total Station, and Trimble machine guidance;
  • The capability to work in remote settings under FIFO/DIDO arrangements;
  • A valid driver's license.
