About the Role

As a Civil Engineer in our Water Sector team, you will be responsible for undertaking design and design lead roles for challenging and complex water, storm water, or wastewater projects. You will work closely with our clients to provide civil/water input to planning, investigations, and front-end engineering design for capital programs or works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake design and design lead roles for water sector projects, including detailed planning, options development, and concept and detailed design
  • Provide civil/water input to planning, investigations, and front-end engineering design for capital programs or works
  • Mentor emerging members of the team to ensure the development of our engineering team
  • Support Civil, Water, and Environmental engineering projects interstate and overseas, as required
  • Engage and build positive relationships with existing and potential clients and stakeholders, support business development and tenders to win and deliver work for Aurecon

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia or eligible to apply for membership
  • Experience in water and/or wastewater design, civil design and documentation
  • Hydraulic modeling skills, experience with ground and surface water, water-sensitive urban design, integrated water planning would all be considered advantageous
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all facets of our organization and with our external stakeholders
