General Internal Medicine Advanced Physician

The General Internal Medicine Unit at Western Health offers a comprehensive advanced training program in General and Acute Care Medicine. As an Advanced Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment with access to a range of rotations, including core General Medicine and subspecialty terms.
You will be part of a team that operates across two campuses - Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals - admitting over 3,000 patients each year. The unit is closely associated with the University of Melbourne, Western Clinical School, and has an active research program.
About You- Have passed the FRACP written and clinical examinations
- Have completed basic physician training
- Are looking to pursue Advanced Training in General and Acute Care Medicine
- Participate in after-hours Clinical Lead rosters and on-call medical registrar rosters
- Provide quality patient care through clinical assessment, admissions, and management plans
- Manage day-to-day patient care and initiate clinical investigations
- Liaise with team members and communicate with patients and their relatives as required
