General Medicine Trainee Position

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a leading healthcare provider in Australia, offering a comprehensive range of medical services.

This role involves completing training requirements or further training in General and Acute Care Medicine, with the opportunity to rotate through subspecialty areas such as General Medicine, Intensive Care, Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatrics, Respiratory, Haematology, Palliative Care, Endocrinology, Rheumatology.

  • Work in various health services including acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community health organizations.

About You:

  • Must hold General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or be eligible for Provisional Registration (via Competent Authority Pathway)
  • Completed Basic Physician Training (or expect to complete by 2025)
  • Demonstrate strong supervision and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring junior medical staff
