Our organization seeks an experienced Ranger to join our team in Kununurra. This is a pool recruitment for Rangers, and the role involves ensuring compliance with various statutory and regulatory requirements. You will provide high standards of service to the community, ensuring that all activities are conducted fairly and consistently.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Dog Act 1976, Cat Act 2011, Control of Off-Road Vehicles Act 1978, Litter Act 1979, Caravan and Camping Grounds Act 1995, Bush Fire Act 1954, and Local Government Act. They will also be responsible for undertaking fire break and property inspections, implementing fire control measures, and responding to abandoned vehicles in accordance with relevant legislation.
In addition to their technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, providing support to colleagues as needed. Strong time management and organizational skills are also essential, as well as proficiency in computer software.
