Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant Role



Acumen Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team. As a member of our team, you will work with ADF personnel who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries, supporting them to achieve full recovery and return to duty.



Key Responsibilities





  • Apply clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel in their recovery.

  • Perform assessments and develop rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Collaborate with medical specialists, treatment providers, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Monitor progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed.



About the Role



This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-quality service provider, supporting ADF personnel to achieve their goals. As an Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering expert care and guidance to individuals in need.



Requirements





  • Current registration or membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW).

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work.

  • Strong clinical reasoning and passion for helping individuals rehabilitate.

  • Ability to work varied hours, including night shifts and weekends, across various ADF bases.

  • Ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals.

  • 12 months of occupational rehabilitation experience.

  • Australian Citizenship.
