We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Petbarn, Australasia's leading pet specialty retailer. With over 150 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Assist with visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging and inviting store environment.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card sales, and returns.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and provide expert advice to customers on pet care and products.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive store culture.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a pet-related industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
  • High level of product knowledge and ability to learn new products quickly.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (e.g., bags of dog food) and work at heights.
